Panel: Building Queer Futures Beyond the Binary
Breaking down binaries is essential to building workplaces where everyone can thrive. Held in recognition of Non-Binary People’s Day, this panel invites participants to imagine queer, trans, and non-binary futures in the workplace while exploring practical strategies to help bring them to life. At a time when trans and non-binary rights are increasingly politicized, employers have an important role to play in upholding human rights and fostering inclusive cultures. Centering trans and non-binary leadership, joy, and lived experience, this conversation will explore how workplace policies, leadership practices, and organizational culture can move beyond binary assumptions to support people of all genders and gender expressions.
Learning Goals:
- Recognize the importance of gender diversity and inclusion in creating equitable workplaces
- Understand the importance of human rights protections and strategies to uphold them
- Identify practical strategies to build towards gender inclusive workplaces
Audience:
- 2SLGBTQIA+ community members
- HR & DEI Professionals
- ERG Leaders
- Allies interested in supporting gender diversity and inclusion
