Panel: Building Queer Futures through Accountable Leadership

Leadership plays a critical role in shaping inclusive workplace cultures. This panel examines how leaders can move from statements of support to sustained action that advances equity for 2SLGBTQIA+ employees. Panelists will explore what accountable leadership looks like in practice, including how organizations can embed inclusion into strategic planning, performance metrics, and governance structures. The conversation will highlight ways leaders can share power, support employee networks, and ensure that queer and trans voices influence decision-making. Designed for senior leaders, HR professionals, and DEI practitioners, this session offers practical perspectives on building workplaces where inclusion is both measurable and enduring.

Learning Goals
  • Define what accountable leadership looks like in practice and its role in advancing equity for 2SLGBTQIA+ employees.
  • Identify strategies for embedding inclusion into organizational systems, including leadership decision-making, strategic planning, and performance accountability.
  • Recognize ways leaders can share power and elevate 2SLGBTQIA+ voices to influence workplace culture, policy, and governance.

  • HR & DEI Professionals
  • Allies interested in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and leadership
