2024 Year Wrap Up
As 2024 draws to a close, we at Pride at Work Canada are taking a moment to reflect on a remarkable year filled with growth, connection, and advocacy.
This year, we traveled across the country, uniting communities and partners for meaningful discussions on creating more inclusive workplaces. From coast to coast to coast, we’ve supported employers and employees across the private, public, and non-profit sectors in fostering safer spaces that recognize and celebrate the talents of 2SLGBTQIA+ people.
Here are some of our 2024 Highlights:
- We visited nine cities and hosted 20 in-person events, bringing together communities members and allies! Our signature events, roundtable discussions, and workshops offered fresh leadership perspectives, fostered relationships with local partners, and built new networks of 2SLGBTQIA+ professionals across Canada.
- Together with representatives from our Community and Proud Partners, we rang the opening bell to raise awareness for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) and launched our CHANGEMAKERS campaign, celebrating 15 individuals championing 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion across corporate, public service, and non-profit sectors in Canada.
- We strengthened workplace inclusion through 25 hours of virtual programming, engaging over 1,500 registrants from Proud and Community Partners committed to impactful strategies.
- Our THRIVE and FLOURISH leadership programs empowered nearly 100 professionals with the skills to become the next generation of Two-Spirit, queer, trans, and allied leaders in workplaces across Canada.
- We welcomed six new board members who bring unique expertise, visionary leadership, and a steadfast commitment to advancing career and workplace inclusion.
This has all been possible with the support of our Proud Partners, Community Partners, allies, and friends. Your commitment to building more inclusive workplaces has inspired and fueled our work.
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to continue engaging with our community as we work towards building more inclusive spaces together. Whether through future roundtables, collaborations, or upcoming programs, our door is always open for continued partnerships.
Thank you for being part of this incredible community. Together, we’re making workplaces across Canada not only more inclusive but genuinely transformative.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright, inclusive new year!
