Community Partner Workshop: Telling the Story of Your Social Impact

November 2, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

  • « Rendez-Vous: Women x Non-Binary Digital Connect
  • Matrices: Trans, Non-Binary & Agender Digital Connect »

Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 12 PM to 1:30 PM EDT – this event is exclusive for employees of our Community Partners.

If you work in a mission-driven environment you know why what you do is important. You see the impact you’re making every day through interactions with clients and service users. But to those outside of your organization, it might not be so clear. Sponsors, funders, donors, and community members all want to know: “What difference are you making?” This workshop for Pride at Work Canada’s Community Partners will focus on quantifying the social change you’re already making. Through interactive learning activities, you’ll gain insight into how you can articulate your organization’s impact for different audiences while staying true to your mission and values.

Live Captioning will be provided by National Captioning Canada.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define the role your organization plays in a movement for social change
  • Relate the impact value chain to your organization’s messaging
  • Compare how data can be presented strategically to inform different audiences

Audience:

  • Community Partner staff and board
  • Executive directors and non-profit leaders
  • Development and fundraising staff
Presenter:

Colin Druhan (he/him), Executive Director, Pride at Work Canada

Colin Druhan is a business strategist with more than fifteen years of experience working with 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. He has served as Executive Director of Pride at Work Canada since 2014. In 2020 Colin was named a DiverseCity Fellow by CivicAction, joining a diverse group of rising leaders who are passionate about shaping their communities within the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Originally from Cole Harbour, NS, Colin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NSCAD University and has completed executive education programs at both the Rotman School of Management and at Harvard Business School.
