Inclusion and diversity are priorities at Hydro-Québec now more than ever. We are striving to build an increasingly inclusive workplace by creating a climate of openness and respect that encourages all employees, however different they may be, to work together. It is important to us that everyone—including members of the LGBT+ community—enjoys a healthy, unprejudiced, fully equitable workplace.

Hydro-Québec’s Ambassador for inclusion and diversity Manager – Generation Planning

Hydro-Québec has been generating, transmitting and distributing electricity for over 75 years. We are North America’s biggest producer of clean, renewable energy.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

At Hydro-Québec, we are committed to fostering a work environment that promotes inclusion and diversity. Our aim is to bring together skilled people who represent society as a whole. In 2017, we made our intention official with our Declaration on Diversity and Inclusion.

Following this declaration, we set up the Hydro-Québec LGBT+ community, an employee resource group that brings together people from the LGBT+ community and provides them with a forum. Designed to foster inclusion, the group represents its members in dealings with the company, provides an opportunity for networking and gives isolated employees a place to express themselves.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

At Hydro-Québec, we aspire to a unifying culture in which skilled resources from all segments of society can make valuable contributions to our work environment and help provide world-class service to our customers.

We believe that diversity is a source of collective energy that will help make Hydro-Québec an even more efficient, innovative and agile company.
