Webinar: Building Together: Sustaining community in the face of political change [Community Partner Only – EN]
January 28 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM EST – this event is exclusive for employees and board members of our Community Partners.
Live Captioning will be provided by 3 Play Media Canada.
Building community happens at a national, regional, and local level. Utilizing a case study between Chroma NB and Pride at Work Canada of an event in Woodstock, New Brunswick, we will be discussing how to build reciprocal relationships between organizations working at different levels. This event created space for the local community including those who were already supporters and space for others to become supporters.
During the discussion we will delve into how we build community in a changing political climate across different levels of focus. We will address where our mandates overlap, where they connect, and where they synchronize. To finish the discussion we will address how we sustain this work when politics impacts funding.
Learning Objectives:
- Explore the case study of the event in Woodstock, NB put on by Chroma NB and Pride at Work Canada.
- Discuss how to collaborate across national, regional and grassroots organizations.
- Develop a better understanding of their own organization’s position in community building and potential solutions to how we sustain this work in the face of a rapidly changing political environment.
Target Audience:
- Non-profit staff and volunteers across national, regional, and grassroots organizations
- Community workers and advocacy roles
- Non-profit executives and managers, and board members
