Mainstreaming 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion across organizational policies

For employees, policies are often experienced in moments that matter: onboarding to a new organization, navigating transitions, or addressing workplace concerns. Pride at Work Canada centres those experiences to make sure your organizational policies recognize, apply to, and support 2SLGBTQIA+ employees, while highlighting where they may unintentionally exclude, create ambiguity, or fall short.

Pride at Work Canada offers expert consulting that closes gaps between organizational commitments to inclusion and the day-to-day reality of employee experience.

Our services are designed to support organizations at different stages of the journey, whether you’re looking for a light-touch review to support an internal review or a comprehensive external review of key policies, including:

Targeted insights to strengthen inclusion where it matters most

An annotated review of a key organizational policy to identify gaps and opportunities to better meet the needs of and design for 2SLGBTQIA+ employees.

Who is it for: Tier 1 is designed for organizations looking for expert guidance on internal policies and processes. This tier is ideal for organizations looking for a clear starting point and tangible, actionable guidance to update a specific policy or process.

The outcome: Your team will be equipped with expert feedback on an existing policy. The result is a validated approach you can stand behind and confidence that your policy is inclusive of 2SLGBTQIA+ employees.

Included in the package:

  1. Annotated Policy Review
    Annotated review of an existing policy, with strategic recommendations and revised language aligned to best practices and Canadian workplace standards for 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion.
    OR
  2. Dedicated Coaching with a PaWC Expert
    Two (2) hours of coaching with key internal contacts (HR leader, ERG leader, manager/supervisor, senior leader, and/or transitioning employee) to build confidence, capacity, and a clear action plan to update the existing policies.
Tier 2: Comprehensive Review – A comprehensive review and revision of organizational policy(ies) to mainstream 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and translate DEI commitments to consistent, organization-wide practice

A deep/full-scope review embedding 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion in your policy framework/landscape/ecosystem

A comprehensive review and revision of key organizational policy(ies) to mainstream 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and translate DEI commitments to consistent, organization-wide practice.

Who is it for: Tier 2 is designed for organizations seeking a comprehensive review and revision of multiple policies. This tier is ideal for organizations seeking clarity, consistency, and structured guidance to advance 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion across organizational policies.

The outcome: Your team will receive revised policy drafts that are ready for internal validation, adoption, and implementation. The result is a strategic and coordinated upgrade across multiple policy areas.

Included in the package:

  1. Detailed Policy Review and Revised Draft
    Detailed review and revision of existing organizational policy(ies) with a clean revised draft of each individual policy included in the review and a summary memo covering overall feedback and practical recommendations for policy and process harmonization.
  2. Policy Alignment Session
    Strategic policy alignment session with a PaWC expert to debrief policy updates and strategize on internal validation, adoption, implementation, and communication.
