Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for the proactive management of select Banks, Brokers & Exchange clients and the overall satisfaction of high revenue generating and complex relationships, achieving retention and growth objectives through exceptional client service.

What will you do?

  • Develop and implement an Account Plan and Strategic Account Summary for assigned clients; and manage a strategic client portfolio at the relationship level
  • Identify, develop and actively maintain relationships with key client contacts and act as an escalation point for issues impacting day to day service or the client relationship
  • Understand and monitor individual client performance standards in preparation for formal service level reviews; and take ownership and accountability for escalated client problems
  • Lead Due Diligence reviews. Champion change and collaboration with internal business partners. Ensure compliance with market requirements
  • Maintain and grow RBC network to support client needs and take the lead sharing market and regulatory information with clients, Operations and client facing teams
  • Simplify day to day operations, processes and interactions between business units and proactively make recommendations to Senior Management
  • Manage change in support of bank strategies and new initiatives with a commitment to enhance client fulfillment
  • Participate and support the up sell and cross sell of RBC solutions and sales activities

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 7+ years financial services experience
  • Securities experience
  • Change Management
  • Analytical skillset
  • Proven client service experience

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of the RBC IS platform
  • Canadian Custody experience
