Ottawa Roundtable on the Status of 2SLGBTQIA+ Human Rights

July 16 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Hosted by Gowling WLG, Ottawa, Canada, in Collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Canada

On July 16, leaders from civil society, the private sector, and government will come together to explore how Canada and the Netherlands can learn from each other’s approaches to affirming the human rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ people, with a special focus on queer and trans economic participation. This roundtable brings together a diverse cross-section of leaders, advocates, policy experts, senior executives, and government officials, each offering a unique perspective on the rights of 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their connection to Canada’s economy.

Following the roundtable, a small reception welcomes a broader group of community members, advocates, and professionals—extending the conversation in a more informal setting and fostering connection across sectors.

* About Our Invitation-Based Events
Pride at Work Canada regularly hosts small, intentional roundtables and gatherings across the country that bring together voices from government, business, advocacy, and community sectors. These spaces are designed to support honest dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic collaboration.

Participation is by invitation to ensure a balanced group across types of organizations, identities, sectors, and lived experiences related to the themes at hand. We consider both professional expertise and community insight when shaping these conversations, and we center engagement from our Proud Partners and Community Partners, while also welcoming expressions of interest from others doing meaningful work in this space.

If you’d like to be considered for future events, you can reach out to Jose Patiño-Gomez, Director of External Relations, or fill out this short form to register your interest.
