Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Welder to join a manufacturing team focused on high-quality metal fabrication and repair in Bowmanville, ON. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional who takes pride in precision welding, problem-solving, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will work independently or as part of a small team to fabricate and repair metal components for complex projects.

  • Pay Rate: $25.58 – 30.00/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: Bowmanville, ON

  • Shift: Afternoons - 4x10's must be available 24/5 (Incentive - Afternoon/Nights Premium 5% of hourly wage)

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate new metal components in accordance with product data sheets

  • Repair metal components to restore full functionality and safety performance

  • Solve problems and develop innovative solutions to novel situations that require a fresh approach while still maintaining required standards of safety, stability, and security

  • Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard

  • Keep workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment

  • Execute welds in a professional manner, examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with templates

  • Work independently or with a small team of other welders to complete large and complex projects

  • Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems daily, in addition to fabrication duties

  • Weld assembly as directed by company standards

  • Follow, create, and help maintain welding procedure specifications

  • Always keep work area clean and organized

  • Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)

  • Selects, positions, and aligns and bolts parts or fixtures to be welded

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in welding required

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Welder in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with All-Position welding techniques

  • Knowledge of applicable safety standards

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, analytical, organized

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
