**Join Our Team as a Welder in Halifax, NS! **

Adecco is excited to announce full-time Welder positions available with our esteemed client in Halifax, NS. This long-term project not only offers competitive pay but also includes opportunities for living out allowances (LOA) and travel reimbursements. If you have a college degree, CEGEP, or vocational certification, along with a Welder Trade Certification and relevant experience, we want to hear from you!

Position Highlights:

  • Shifts & Pay Rates:

    • Day Shift: $43.00 per hour (7 am - 3:30 pm)

    • Night Shift: $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium; 12 am - 7:30 pm)

    • Back Shift: $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium; 5 pm - 1 am)

  • Location: Halifax, NS

  • Job Type: Full-time | Long-Term Contract

  • Additional Overtime Opportunities Available

  • Living Out Allowance: $135/day worked

  • Weekly Travel Allowance: $220 (for those 80 km away from location)

  • One-time Travel Pay: $600

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.

  • Work in a construction, maintenance/repair, and new fabrication environment.

  • Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) in all positions.

  • Select appropriate weld filler materials.

  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding and flame-cutting equipment.

  • Setup and maintain welding equipment.

  • Handle and position equipment at work sites.

Qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in Canada and have resided in Canada for 5 years.

  • Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational education and Welder Trade Certification.

  • Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications.

  • WHMIS certification.

  • Full trade flexibility is essential.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Government Security Clearance/Background and Credit check.

  • Must have full PPE and Fit Tested Respirator Mask.

  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and setting up parts/equipment weighing 50 lbs or more.

  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

  • Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as needed.

  • Daily commute to work is required.
