ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
This role reports to: Lab Instructors.

SUMMARY
The student assistant will assist Lab Instructors as required. This position represents an excellent opportunity for a student interested in the Brewing Program to develop and gain further practical production skills and experience in a manufacturing brewery environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with general preparation of site ad materials for labs, events, and sales support.
General cleaning of Brewing Instructional Lab including equipment, glassware, instruments, and work benches.
Per and post use inventory count of specialized equipment and glassware.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must be able to perform manual labour, and lift 25 kg bags of grain, have demonstrated interest in practical brewing, and be self-directed and motivated.

SALARY INFORMATION
Student Assistants are paid as per the following:

  • Less than one year of post-secondary (less than 30 credits) – BC Minimum Wage
  • One year of post-secondary (30-60 credits) – BC Minimum Wage plus 8%
  • With a post-secondary diploma or degree – BC Minimum Wage plus 21%
