What to expect 

  • Join a specialized team, supporting the Commercial Insurance team in handling portfolio transfers
  • Underwrite moderate to complex new business, moving across files within the parameters of transfer agreements and assigned underwriting authority
  • Underwrite renewals and endorsements, within the parameters of transfer agreements and assigned underwriting authority
  • Clearly articulate the terms and conditions of risk acceptance with brokers in writing and over the phone
  • Develop and maintain positive broker relations

What you bring 

  • University degree or a college diploma or a completed CIP designation
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Insurance underwriting, mid-market complexity and property/liability experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office and ServiceNow Extreme preferred
  • Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, with both customers and co-workers
  • Team player who performs well in a busy environment and remains calm under pressure

Salary range is: $58,100 - $106,900
