The Role
The Bell Mobility – RAN Operations’ team is seeking a motivated individual, with proven experience in wireless Network Operations, with great troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate will report to the Sr Manager – RAN Operations. He will be responsible for supporting Operations team in their ability to configure, integrate and troubleshoot network elements. This role will contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Level 2 support. Analysis, diagnosis and resolution of network events and alarms. Support for new integration (Swap, new and existing sites), SW upgrade execution or on adhoc request (e.g. performance issue).
- Security SME: Action security vulnerabilities and deploy parameters fixes across sites or entire network.
- Automation: Support & Influence automation roadmap (e.g. PnP, License) support testing & validation until operationalization. Support network changes via script development.
- Lead training initiatives for the senior wireless technician, guiding the requirements from instruction to implementation.
- Develop training MOP’S and maintain confluence portal for Learning Library.
- Lead and develop strategies to define and develop cross-functional capabilities.
- Liaison with Wireless Technology, RF Engineering and Performance teams to represent, test and guide work efforts from a RAN-Ops lens, coordinate automation or scripting requirements with in-house automation teams. Knowledge transfer to RAN-Ops teams.
- Involve on new trials for technology/Service introduction and facilitate operationalization within the team.
Required skills / competencies
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3 years experience in wireless with strong understanding of 5G and LTE end-to-end with in-depth expertise in Ericsson RAN vendor.
- Identify continuous process improvement or automation opportunities that will reduce manual and repetitive intervention.
- Proven ability in quantitative analysis, data manipulation and data visualization techniques.
- Strong customer focus and high concern for quality is required.
- Experience with an agile organization.
- Practical ans strong knowledge of Linus, Python-scripting languages.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, both virtually and in person.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
