The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer (Java/Python) with a strong background in software development, testing, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in complex environments.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications
  • Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation
  • Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing
  • Support the solution in production
  • Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed).

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • 3+ years in software development and testing focusing on Java and Python.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development, ETL optimization, advanced troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Capital Markets Technology experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience with IBM DataStage and Data Lineage tools for enterprise data quality and governance.
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Unix shell scripting for CI/CD and automation.
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and Databricks for data engineering is a plus.
  • Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments is a plus.
