Paid Social Media Coordinator job opening in Toronto, ON

Location: downtown Toronto (hybrid)
Duration: 6 months to start, with potential extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
Compensation: $25–$26/hour + 4% vacation pay, paid weekly


About the Opportunity
Our client, an established and fast-paced advertising/media firm is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and adaptable individual to join the team in an interim capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and enjoys supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to a positive team dynamic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team in the execution and coordination of social media campaigns
  • Enter and manage campaign budgets within billing systems
  • Perform regular data extraction and analyze campaign performance to identify optimization opportunities
  • Handle monthly billing reconciliations, including resolving discrepancies and processing invoices
  • Assist with daily communications with both internal teams and external partners
  • Contribute to the preparation and updates of monthly industry newsletters
  • Document and circulate meeting summaries, including key takeaways and action items
  • Update campaign tracking materials such as blocking charts, investment summaries, and performance reports as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a focus in advertising, marketing, business, or communications is considered an asset
  • Foundational knowledge of social media advertising platforms
  • Certifications such as Facebook Blueprint or Twitter Flight School are beneficial
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Solid numerical aptitude with confident math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
