Adecco is currently hiring a Site Superintendent (Residential Construction) for a full-time opportunity in Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for an experienced construction professional with a strong background in residential projects who excels in leadership, site management, and delivering high-quality builds on time and within budget.

As a Site Superintendent, you will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive project success.

  • Pay Rate: $150,000 – $170,000 annually

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Schedule: Full-time

  • Contract: Temp-to-perm potential

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities from project start to completion

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety programs and regulations

  • Direct and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, tools, and equipment

  • Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of all construction phases

  • Monitor and enforce quality standards to meet or exceed established procedures

  • Control project costs and support purchasing processes

  • Execute work in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders

  • Manage and coordinate trade contractors to ensure efficient and professional performance

  • Review trade scopes of work and identify discrepancies, advising project management accordingly

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and best practices

  • Support site administration processes and maintain organized project documentation

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, preferably in high-rise residential projects

  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards

  • Relevant education in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred

  • Red Seal Certification considered an asset

  • OSHA or other industry safety certifications considered an asset

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada
