The Department of Kinesiology invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2026-2027 session.

Projected TA Support: 130 hours

Wage Rate: $9,435.73 (See Schedule “A” of current CUPE 3906 Unit 2 Collective Agreement)

 

 

 

Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties:

 

This placement course provides students in Honours Kinesiology the opportunity to explore different research laboratory experiences within the Department of Kinesiology. Students will complete a final paper related to the research laboratory experience. Students are responsible for arranging a suitable laboratory experience and supervision (from a Kinesiology faculty member). 

 

 

 

The instructor will be responsible for liaising with all faculty supervisors associated with the course, delivery of in-person lectures, and will be expected to follow the current assessment structure used for the course (Winter 2026 Course Outline).

 

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

PhD. in Kinesiology (preferred) or related discipline with research based experiential education experience.  Successful candidate will be responsible for developing course content, however the current course instructor will make available all course materials (e.g., lecture notes, presentation slides, etc.) should the candidate wish to refer to them.

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Previous experience coordinating and/or teaching a research based experiential education course.

*Supplemented Fees- 15.02 In addition to the wages as set out in Article 15.01 and Schedule A of the Collective Agreement, the employee shall be eligible to receive supplemented fees as set out in this Article and Schedule B. The actual rate of pay, when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing then the employee shall receive the difference.
