A career as a senior transformation advisor in the Capital Markets Operations team at National Bank means playing a strategic and hands-on role at the heart of OTC derivatives activities. You act as a recognized expert and a driver of transformation by leveraging your expertise in OTC derivatives collateral to evolve, optimize, and strengthen the performance of operational processes.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on high-impact initiatives, working closely with key partners across business, operations, and technology teams.

Your role
  • Act as a subject matter expert in OTC collateral (initial margin and variation margin) and derivatives operations, supporting transformation and optimization initiatives
  • Contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives by simplifying, optimizing, and automating Capital Markets Operations processes
  • Analyze complex issues, assess impacts, and recommend innovative, value-added solutions
  • Collaborate with technology, data, and business teams to deploy effective solutions and evolve governance and data intelligence practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders and contribute to a culture of execution, ownership, and accountability

Your team
Within the Capital Markets Operations sector, you will be part of a team of approximately 15 colleagues and report to the Senior Director. Our team stands out for its deep expertise, strong collaboration with partners, and ability to navigate complex environments. We aim to offer you maximum flexibility to support your quality of life, including a hybrid work environment and adaptable scheduling.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a quantitative discipline and 7 years of relevant experience; OR master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience in OTC collateral management and derivatives operations
  • Solid understanding of processes, risks, and controls related to OTC derivatives
  • Experience delivering transformation initiatives in an agile environment
  • Proficiency with collaboration and management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence or equivalent)

French is not required for candidates based in Toronto and Calgary.
