Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Sr. Manager, Monitoring & Testing, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Vancity’s Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Testing program. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, risk-based testing that assesses control effectiveness, identifies gaps, and drives remediation actions across the organization. You will provide leadership in challenging stakeholders, strengthening compliance maturity, and delivering actionable insights that support sound risk management. We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented leader with deep compliance expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence across business functions.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Regulatory Compliance. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Leading the design and maintenance of monitoring and testing methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistency and quality
- Developing and overseeing risk-based monitoring and testing plans aligned to regulatory priorities and business risks
- Executing and assuring quality of testing activities including scoping, sampling, and documentation standards
- Evaluating testing results to identify control effectiveness issues, root causes, and areas for remediation or escalation
- Providing constructive challenge to stakeholders on control gaps, remediation plans, and timelines
- Establishing reporting and escalation processes for monitoring and testing outcomes
- Identifying opportunities to enhance analytics, methodology, and overall program effectiveness
