Purpose

 

Develops and implements communications plans for key enterprise HR initiatives, with a focus on Talent Strategy and Global HR Solutions while ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? 

 

  • Plans and manages an integrated internal and external communications plans for key GHR initiatives relating to the Talent and Global HR Solutions Centres of Excellence, that impact the Bank.
  • This role includes the development and execution of internal and external communications plans, writing and editing of key communications pieces, and providing strategic communications advice to business leaders.
  • Ideates, produces and manages enterprise-wide communications pieces, including: announcements, press releases, online content, videos, Town Halls, GHR events, and presentations. This includes working with internal business partners to develop these communications as needed and coordinating and executing the delivery of communications to target audiences (internal and external).
  • Oversees the development and execution of key global and GHR communications, including newsletters, and supports with issues management and the development of key messaging for internal and external purposes.
  • Understands how the Bank’s culture of inclusion, high performance and customer focus should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Champions a high performing environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicates vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 

 

  • The incumbent is required to keep current on communication trends and best practices and will be a self-starter who proactively identifies communications opportunities.
  • The incumbent requires a combination of focus and flexibility and can work independently and take direction well.
  • The incumbent must be diplomatic, flexible, with a positive, mature attitude, and the ability to remain calm under pressure and to deliver under tight timelines.
  • Must also be proactive and creative, with strong, proven ability to plan and manage competing priorities, as well as ability to recognize and appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Minimum undergraduate university degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field. A post-graduate certificate in Public Relations is an asset.
  • Superior verbal and written English communication skills including demonstrable creativity, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

 

Working Conditions

 

  •  Work is in an unassigned, highly mobile environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
