Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Senior Manager, eDiscovery Services to lead and expand RBC's eDiscovery Services program within the Enterprise Legal Services team of the Law Group. In this role, you will oversee a high-performing team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of eDiscovery services—including preservation, collection, processing, and export—across complex litigation, regulatory, compliance, and investigation matters. You will be a strategic partner to senior legal, compliance, and business leaders, driving operational excellence, process and technology innovation, and best practices across all eDiscovery operations.

What will you do?

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of case managers, by setting performance expectations, coaching, and supporting a collaborative culture

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of RBC’s portfolio of eDiscovery request, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and risk-mitigating execution across all phases (preservation, collection, processing, exporting, archiving)

  • Establish and evergreen operational workflows, and best practices aligned with RBC and industry standards

  • Identify and implement process improvements and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability

  • Manage vendor relationships, including coordinating with internal and external partners (including procurement, technology and counsel) to resolve escalations and ensure performance quality

  • Provide strategic consultation to clients and other stakeholders on collection, search and review strategies

  • Maintain comprehensive tracking, reporting, and analytics to ensure defensibility, manage budgets, and demonstrate program value

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant designation (e.g., Paralegal, Law Clerk)

  • Deep expertise in eDiscovery operations (with a minimum of 5 years’ experience) across the full lifecycle from preservation to production, including hands-on knowledge of archiving, processing and review technology

  • A strategic thinking and process improvement mindset, with an ability to identify operational bottlenecks and implement creative and scalable solutions

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to all audiences, including legal and IT

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with budget management, vendor negotiations, and financial forecasting in an eDiscovery or legal operations context

  • Familiarity with RBC's processes, systems, and organizational structure

  • Formal project management or certification

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact

  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team

  • A world-class training program in financial services

  • Flexible work/life balance options

  • Opportunities to do challenging work
