Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, Sustainability & Impact (S&I), plays a critical role in shaping how RBC brings its purpose to life in market. Through thoughtfully designs, insight-led marketing initiatives this role translates RBC’s sustainability and community investments into compelling brand experiences that create meaningful value for clients, communities, and the broader public.

This includes elevating RBC’s signature programs – such as scholarships and upskilling initiatives – while also identifying and developing new opportunities in areas like financial literacy and the future of work.

Working closely with the Senior Director, Brand Marketing, S&I, you will lead the end-to-end development of integrated campaigns – from strategic concept through to execution – ensuring each initiative reflects the strength and credibility of the RBC brand. You will collaborate across the enterprise and with agency partners to deliver work that resonates with key audiences, including youth and newcomers, while strengthening RBC’s role in helping people and communities thrive in a changing world. The ideal candidate is a strategic and entrepreneurial marketer with a strong track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. You bring a point of view grounded in audience insights, a commitment to excellence in execution, and a passion for creating work that drives both societal impact and enduring brand value.

What will you do?

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of integrated marketing activations that bring RBC’s purpose to life and serve as tangible proof points of our impact
  • Translate audience insights and cultural trends into relevant, resonant campaigns that connect meaningfully with priority segments and drive real-world impact
  • Identify and shape purpose-led marketing opportunities in partnership with internal stakeholders to build brand affinity while advancing enterprise Sustainability & Impact priorities
  • Own end-to-end campaign development, from initial concept and positioning through to execution, ensuring a high standard of creative and strategic excellence
  • Define success through clear KPIs and measurement frameworks, using data and insights to optimize performance and demonstrate brand and business impact
  • Lead agency and external partner relationships, providing clear direction and oversight to deliver best-in-class creative and execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (including brand strategy, social and creative services) to ensure cohesive, integrated campaign delivery
  • Act as a strategic connector and subject matter expert, providing guidance and through leadership across the enterprise.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of leading end-to-end campaign development – from strategy through execution and optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex multi-channel campaigns in partnership with agencies and cross-functional teams
  • Strong strategic thinking grounded in audience insight, with experience translating research and data into compelling, culturally relevant marketing ideas
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and drive outcomes across multiple teams and senior partners
  • Experience defining and measuring success, including establishing KPIs, leveraging performance data, and optimizing campaigns to deliver measurable brand impact

Nice to Have

  • Experience in purpose-led, sustainability, or social impact marketing, or working with community-based programs and partnerships
  • Familiarity with youth, newcomers, or emerging audience segments, and an understanding of how to engage them authentically
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed organization navigating complexity while maintaining pace and quality

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
