You’ll be part of our growing Ground Engineering Team, using your skills as Senior Geotechnical Engineering eill play a critical role in delivering some of the most exciting and high-profile project in Ontario and Canada, shaping the future history of an entire region! As part of the Ground Engineering team in Ontario, you'll be responsible for driving forward our ambitious plans to enhance our geotechnical service offering in the province through your work with a close-knit team of engineering specialists and professionals.

A day in the life:

• You’ll be a technical leader for WSP’s geotechnical group in Ontario providing mentorship and reviewing the work of others;
• You'll be a key member of an interdisciplinary project team that can offer high complexity work, and a chance to challenge yourself and what you've learned so far, and an opportunity push your skills to the next level with an experienced team and collaborative managers who are among the best in the industry;
• You’ll be responsible for creating / promoting / maintaining relationships with clients, as the primary point of contact;
• You’ll be responsible for managing both geotechnical and multi-disciplinary projects of various sizes;
• You’ll be responsible for leading proposals, making engineering decisions, and the delivery of projects;
• You'll be responsible for technical oversight of projects and proposals as well as establishing standard methodologies for Geotechnical design and improving our practice; 
• You'll be communicating regularly with the wider WSP geotechnical community across Canada;
• You'll be positioning WSP as a key advisor and consultant for our clients, and a true business partner, and;
• You'll be representing WSP in the community to raise local brand awareness.

What you'll bring to WSP ...

• A degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering as well as a professional engineering license in Ontario.
• You have a senior level of experience in the geotechnical field, ideally with consulting experience;
• Experience in heavy civil geotechnical engineering applications including roads and highways, water and waste water, tunneling and trenchless methods, slope stability, and numerical analysis;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong verbal and written communication in English are essential.
