Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As the Senior Executive Assistant, you will be a strategic and highly organized partner who plays a critical role in enabling executive and team success. Known for anticipating needs, managing complex calendars and deliverables, playing a critical role in event production, this role ensures seamless day-to-day operations while contributing to long-term planning. You’ll collaborate with fellow Senior Executive Assistants on enterprise-wide initiatives like Senior Leadership Summits and Strategy Offsites and guide divisional Executive Assistants to deliver consistent, high-impact support. Your ability to think critically, communicate strategically, and drive operational efficiency will be key to creating capacity and value across the team.

In this role, you will leverage your exceptional planning and organizational skills to manage multiple, competing priorities with confidence and clarity. As a critical thinker with sound judgment, you’ll identify resourceful ways to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and strategically coordinate work across teams. Your strong communication skills and proactive mindset will enable you to drive effectiveness and alignment. With a passion for learning and a commitment to excellence, you’ll quickly become a subject matter expert - providing valuable insights and creating capacity for your team.

This is a Permanent, Full-time role based at our Vancity Head Office. This role will require you to predominately work in-office five days a week, with some flexibility to work from home time to time. 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Proactively managing executive’s calendar, travel, and daily priorities with foresight and efficiency
  • Overseeing communication flow by triaging emails, calls, reports, and presentations to ensure timely responses
  • Leading budget planning and expense tracking, providing monthly variance reports and financial insights
  • Representing the executive in professional communications, both written and verbal
  • Preparing materials for Board and executive meetings, including presentations and briefing documents
  • Conducting research and draft reports or recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Planning and executing internal and external events with attention to detail and strategic alignment
  • Maintaining organized digital filing systems and mentoring administrative staff to ensure consistent service delivery


What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Many years of experience in senior administrative or executive support roles, with a proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, including experience engaging with senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Tech-savviness and adaptability, with comfort using tools like MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, CoPilot and a willingness to learn new systems
  • Sound judgment and composure under pressure, with the ability to make informed decisions and adapt quickly in dynamic environments
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and solutions-oriented approach, with a strong lens for diversity, equity, and inclusion in your work

What You’ll Earn:

The salary range for this position is $69,700 to $82,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
