A career as a Senior Data scientist in the models, Technology and Transformation team at National Bank means serving as a modelling expert. Your analytical skills, multidisciplinary teamwork experience and modelling knowledge will have a positive impact on the experience of our partners and clients.

Your job:

  • Collaborate with various partners to deliver high-impact analytical initiatives.
  • Ensure proper needs analysis and stakeholder management related to these initiatives.
  • Configure, analyze, test, maintain, and optimize filtering models.
  • Ensure compliance with standards surrounding the model development process and model documentation.
  • Contribute to model governance activities and to the creation and evolution of processes related to filtering models.
  • Contribute to financial crime reporting or analysis activities.
     

Your team:

You are part of a team of 20 colleagues in the Compliance sector and will report to the Senior Manager – PCMLTF risk Management. Our team stands out for its expertise, spirit of collaboration and creativity, as well as its passion for fighting money laundering.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree (in statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science or a related field) and 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in analytics and using large volumes of data.
  • Proficiency in SAS, SAS Viya, SQL and Python and good knowledge of the Power BI tool.
  • Experience in audit and model validation
  • Experience in filtering or financial crime prevention (an asset)
