Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Assortment Planning, the Senior Consultant, Enterprise Assortment Planning will support all banners at CTC by providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive assortment strategy. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on category strategies and operational guardrails.


What you’ll do
The Senior Consultant, Enterprise Assortment Planning will be responsible for:

· Strategic Insights & Recommendations: Providing strategic insights and recommendations based on customer, market and business performance data. Working in collaboration with the banner merchandise planning functions and merchants.

· Framework Support: Assisting in refreshing the role and intent category management framework.

· Category Guardrails: Supporting the definition and validation of assortment guardrails (dimension, direction & ranges) based on research & insights from the Customer Strategy team.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with each functional team to quantify and refine category guardrails; ensuring cross-functional expertise is considered to address customer needs, validate assumptions, and align to enterprise goals.

· Monthly Meeting Preparation: Assisting in preparing materials and insights for monthly performance meetings led by the CCO.

What you bring

The business is looking for someone who can build strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally. In this role it is critical that you have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You should be able to communicate recommendations clearly through multiple formats. We are looking for candidates who have a broad understanding of assortment planning principles and who are comfortable dealing with ambiguity. If you have experience in enterprise assortment planning within a retail environment, this is considered ideal. You should also possess a well-developed understanding of the business levers that influence retail success. The team is also looking for someone who has:

· Post-secondary university education or equivalent

· 3+ years’ experience in an assortment planning or consulting role within a retail organization

· Strong understanding of Retail Math

· Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects

· Excellent oral and written communication skill

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000.00 - 106,000.00 CAD per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements
