Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is building an enterprise-grade, cloud-native SaaS Platform on top of Red Hat OpenShift to expand the reach of its software portfolio into multi-cloud environments.
This requires skills and experience with cloud-native services within Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform, as well as understanding technologies such as Kubernetes.
Your role as an IBM Product Manager will be to interface with product teams and development teams around the world focusing on capturing requirements and communicating the value proposition of features already developed, or to be developed within the platform.
The right candidate will:
• Have experience delivering as-a-Service offerings
• Have experience with Product Management for a single product or a portfolio of products
• Work closely with Design, Development, and stakeholder cross-functional teams to drive scalable backend and frontend SaaS solutions
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be tenacious in going after business challenges and find data wherever it may reside to conduct fact-based data-driven analysis
• Have productive working relationships with counterparts across all functions
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Bachelors Degree with 2+ years experience in Software or SaaS Product Management
• Demonstrated experience with IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering principles and tools (e.g. Observability, Monitoring)
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and successfully driving interlock and ensuring progress across multiple stakeholders such as design, development, and cross-unit product management teams
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• 4+ years experience in Product Management
• Experience gaining agreement for technical solutions across multiple stakeholders with competing technical strategies
• Experence bringing complex enterprise software products to market as cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS offerings
