The Piping Design Application Specialist (DAS) provides technical support for the team of designers on a project utilizing Bentley OpenPlant software.
Primary responsibilities are to provide end user support, project set-up, configuration and customization to specific project requirements.
Reports directly to the Project Piping Lead for specific project requirements and is the main contact for the team of designers.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Project Setup and configuration to support Piping design execution and production of piping deliverables
• Create, load, maintain Piping Material Catalog and Pipe Support Specification for the project
• Drawing set-up and Configuration – Orthographic, Isometric, and drawing title block customization
• First point of contact for any piping specific CAD issues and concerns - Trouble shoot and provide solutions to CAD related problems and issues
• Prepare and implement CAD Procedures, Bulletins and Instructions to design team for consistent CAD execution.
• Provide CAD related training and coaching to users as required -Organize designers / users meetings and/or training
• Perform CAD related audits on regular basis
• Other CAD Related Tasks - 2D / 3D CAD support during Isometric and drawing production
