Overview

Title: Warehouse Team Lead - Night Shift

Location: Bedford, NS

Availability: Full-Time (10pm - 6am)

Compensation: $27.04/hr

 

Overview

This role will serve as a frontline team leader providing team leadership and functional expertise on the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving and delivery of finished products in a timely manner.
  • Utilize docks, warehouse layout, and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading time.
  • Ensure the optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs.
  • Provide timely service to sales department while minimizing warehouse and production costs.
  • Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues.
  • Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel.
  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals.
  • Maintain the inventory system to aid in production scheduling.
  • Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards and training.
  • Identify and execute productivity opportunities to help facility meet annual operating plan.
  • Administer policies and procedures.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the work site

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated front-line team leadership experience, planning and organization skills.
  • Microsoft Suite includes Excel comprehension.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
