Part-Time Academic (OCCU 5016.01: Physical Health Practice in OT I) (6 Positions) – Fall 2026

This course introduces learners to physical health conditions and how these affect occupational participation. Lectures and labs will focus on occupational therapy processes of practice including assessment, intervention, and documentation. Emphasis will be on developing foundational skills for therapeutic practice with people experiencing musculoskeletal and other physical health issues. Learners will be expected to integrate learning from courses across this term.
We are looking for up to six part-time instructors for the Fall 2026 term (up to 25 hours each/term). Under the guidance of the Course Instructors, each Instructor will tutor and evaluate groups of students using problem and case-based learning in Occupational Therapy Skills Labs and / or evaluate groups of students in Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).

Instructors will be required to be on-site for:
- Oct 28 (1-3 pm)
- Nov 4 (1-3 pm)
- Nov 5 (10 am – 12 pm)
- Nov 19 (10 am – 12 pm)
- Nov 25 (1-3 pm)
- Nov 26 (10 am – 12 pm)
- Dec 9 (12:30 – 4:30 pm)
Instructors may be required to attend on-site special events labs or exams on alternative days with advanced notice. Other off-site preparation, marking and/or office hours may also be required. Instructors are required to attend an orientation session prior to the academic term (to be scheduled). As time permits, other duties may be required to assist with Lab/OSCE preparation and/or delivery.
