The School of Architecture at Dalhousie University invites applications for a Part-Time Academic Instructor position in the Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree program. The M.Arch. is a professional two-year graduate Architecture degree. Students complete a Pre-Professional Bachelor degree before M.Arch. enrolment.

The Instructor will teach a first-year 6-credit course in architectural design, where students develop innovative responses to situations with sensitive ecologies, extreme climate, and local cultural traditions. Graduate design studios are topics-based, and can be developed in the instructor’s research and/or practice area-of-expertise. The instructor is responsible for developing their own studio curriculum. Prior course outlines and structures are available. An Academic Calendar description can be found at this weblink.

Graduate studio courses consist of up to fifteen students, and meet two times each week for 3.5 hours each. The Summer Term is an 11-week term, from May 4 to July 17.
