The School of Architecture at Dalhousie University invites applications for a Part-Time Academic Instructor position in the Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree program. The M.Arch. is a professional two-year graduate Architecture degree. Students complete a Pre-Professional Bachelor degree before M.Arch. enrolment.
The Instructor will teach a first-year 6-credit course in architectural design, where students develop innovative responses to situations with sensitive ecologies, extreme climate, and local cultural traditions. Graduate design studios are topics-based, and can be developed in the instructor’s research and/or practice area-of-expertise. Graduate studio courses consist of up to fifteen students, and meet two times each week for 3.5 hours each. The Summer Term is an 11-week term, from May 4 to July 17.
