Adecco has had various temporary afternoon Packer job openings in Mississauga, ON come up with immediate starts so we are seeking hard working talent for the client. In this role you will be responsible for packing production orders after the items have been checked for quality control at the end of a manufacturing line. This position will require long periods of standing and repetitive functions; ergonomical set up is provided. Please note that when these assignments arise, they can be for short and longer timeframes based on the production levels. 

  • Pay rate: $17.60/hour plus 4% vacation pay on top of this

  • Location: Mississauga, ON (near Dundas Street East and 403) – free parking *please ensure this worksite is feasible for your commute prior to applying

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday, 2pm – 10:30pm

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Packer Responsibilities:

  • Packing of production orders within a production line; this the final stage

  • Folding the items in a neat, orderly fashion to ensure the product is not bent or compromised

  • Preparing orders for shipment 

  • Follow all safety procedures and practices

  • Other tasks assigned by the lead/supervisor

Packer Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing packing experience is a strong asset although not required

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, ability to bend and move with ease, and lift up to 25lbs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Work well independently but also as a key team member

  • Be passionate about cleanliness, health and safety; approved safety boots required

  • Strong work ethic to be on time for shift changes and reliable overall

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
