Your Role in Supporting Our Members: 

As an Internal Reconciliation Officer, you play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Vancity’s financial transactions. You are responsible for reconciling automated banking transactions, investigating discrepancies, and responding to inquiries from branches and third parties to support a seamless member experience. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who thrives in a structured environment and is motivated to mitigate risk while supporting operational excellence.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Internal Reconciliation. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.

How You'll Make an Impact: 

• Reconciling general ledgers generated from automated sources in alignment with corporate standards and timelines 

• Investigating discrepancies and resolving issues related to financial transactions 

• Responding to inquiries from branches and third-party partners such as bill payments, ATM, POS, and online channels 

• Preparing month-end reports and supporting financial reporting processes 

• Monitoring transaction flows to detect anomalies and escalating unresolved issues 

• Supporting risk mitigation efforts through adherence to policies and procedures 

• Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure accurate transaction processing and a positive member experience 

• Maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails for reconciliation activities 

What You’ll Bring to the Team: 

• Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a related discipline (finance, accounting, or business preferred) 

• 1–3 years of experience in reconciliation, banking operations, or financial services 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes 

• Foundational understanding of financial industry practices and transactional processes
