Job Description:
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Core Fibre Optic Transport System
- Up keeping of the Local and long distance exchange switches
- Testing and maintenance of various -48V Battery Plants
- Installation and maintenance on PBX and Key Systems
- Work on various Mobile Radio
- Performs minor building maintenance
- Installs communications equipment, customer demarcations, Cat 5 runs, fiber optic and various other equipment
- Network equipment device maintenance on core routers, Cisco,Calix, Transmode
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Electronics Engineering, or other communications based diploma, or equivalent experience in the Telecommunications field
- Basic IP Knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic knowledge computer skills (Ms Office)
- Aptitude for learning telephone technology
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong personal communication skills
- Must not be colour blind
- Must possess a valid class “G” driver’s license
- Mechanically inclined would be an asset
- Bilingualism, English and French is an asset
