Adecco is on the lookout for skilled Metal Fabricators - Red Seal/Journeypersons to join our esteemed client in the vibrant city of Halifax, NS. This exciting long-term, full-time opportunity not only offers competitive compensation but also provides generous LOA and travel allowances. If you have a Red Seal or Journeyman Ticket and experience in fabrication, assembly, and fitting, we want to hear from you!

Position Highlights:

• Shifts & Pay Rates:

  • Day Shift: $43.00 per hour (7 am - 3:30 pm)

  • Night Shift: $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium; 12 am - 7:30 pm)

  • Back Shift: $46.00 per hour (includes $3.00 shift premium; 5 pm - 1 am)

• Location: Halifax, NS

• Job Type: Full-time | Long-Term Contract

• Additional Overtime Opportunities Available

• Living Out Allowance: $135/day worked

• Weekly Travel Allowance: $220 (for those 80 km away from location)

• One-time Travel Pay: $600

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures based on blueprints and established procedures.

• Perform precise measurements, cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of components.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and layouts with ease.

• Install various interior structures, including hatches, doors, and bulkheads.

• Operate an array of tools and equipment for pipe assembly and welding.

• Work with diverse pipe materials, such as carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless steel.

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in Canada and have resided in Canada for at least 5 years.

• Hold a valid Red Seal or Journeyman Ticket.

• Certifications in Confined Space and Fall Protection.

• WHMIS certification is required.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment Government Security Clearance, background, and credit checks.

• Must provide full PPE and a fit-tested respirator mask.

• Physically capable of handling, lifting, carrying, and setting up parts and equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more.

• Daily commute to work is necessary.
