Adecco is currently hiring a Metal Fabricator for a full-time opportunity in Halifax, NS. This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional with strong metal fabrication and welding experience who enjoys working in a shipyard or industrial environment.

If you have experience working with metal fabrication, welding, and reading technical drawings, this is a great opportunity for a long-term, well-compensated role.

  • Salary: $47/hour + $3/hr night shift premium + $175/day LOA + $220/week travel allowance + $600 relocation bonus

  • Location: Halifax, NS

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM / 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM / 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM)

  • Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fabricate metal parts

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

  • Measure and mark metal components using precision tools

  • Weld or join parts using MIG, TIG, or ARC welding techniques

  • Operate cranes or forklifts to move heavy materials when required

  • Perform quality inspections to ensure all products meet specifications

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • Red Seal or Registered Apprenticed Fabricator certification

  • Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator or Shipfitter

  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, or ARC welding and metalworking techniques

  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform accurate measurements

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada and have lived in Canada for at least 5 years

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and set up equipment up to 50 lbs

  • Pre-employment physical required

  • Fit-tested respirator mask and full PPE required

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and commute daily to site

  • Valid Confined Space and Fall Protection tickets

  • Must meet requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance
