Adecco is currently hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a full-time opportunity in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work, working with tools and equipment, and assembling high-quality products in a fast-paced production setting.

In this position, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established production procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with both large and intricate components.

  • Salary: Competitive compensation (based on experience)

  • Location: Brockville, ON

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • Employment Type: Full-time | Temporary

Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, and written instructions

  • Assemble mechanical equipment and components according to required specifications and procedures

  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks

  • Install interconnecting piping, components, and support structures

  • Ensure proper fitting, adjustment, and alignment of components to meet inspection standards and close tolerances

  • Work with materials and parts of various sizes, from heavy components to small intricate pieces

  • Assist with final system assembly and installation at customer sites when required

  • Support Team Leads, Electrical teams, and Test teams to help achieve manufacturing goals

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

  • Report safety concerns, near misses, and incidents immediately

  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and process optimization

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents

  • Previous mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Experience with electrical assembly is considered an asset

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs when required

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs
