The Strategy & Customer Insights team analyzes data, identifies insights, and formulate strategic plans to inform business decisions and drive growth using a customer-centric approach. We are hiring a Manager, Strategy & Analytics within the ‘Hard Discount’ Division (No Frills & Maxi). Reporting to the Director, Strategy & Customer Insights, the incumbent will be accountable for championing data analytics and strategic insights across a wide range of initiatives to inform divisional strategy.
What You'll Do:
- Champion loyalty and customer insights across the Discount Divisional team and its various banners
- Lead end-to-end analyses leveraging loyalty data from over 18 million members
- Work directly with the category team leads to provide data analyses on customer behaviours and sales data
- Deliver ad-hoc analyses (customer profiles, pilot performance, category reviews, etc.), providing analytical thought leadership and guidance to stakeholders
- Assist in developing new tools and strategies to improve existing processes, and build out reporting to track customer performance metrics
- Synthesize large amounts of data and extrapolate and interpret information, as appropriate
- Develop concise and easy to understand customer insights and actionable recommendations
- Work collaboratively and liaise across functional / divisional departments
- Present findings to senior-level management, including VPs and SVPs
What You Bring:
- University degree in a Business, Finance, Economics, Math/Statistics, or Analytics-related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of related work experience in an analytical role
- Knowledge and experience of data preparation, data analysis and statistical packages with data tools
- Experience with data tools SQL and GCP/BigQuery is required
- Strong MS Office skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capability of building compelling presentations
- Ability to drive adoption by creating strong relationships across a wide array of stakeholders
- Experience in using analytics to drive tangible results in a growth-oriented environment
- Demonstrated experience with project management
- An innate sense of curiosity
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with customer-level data is an asset
- Experience with Python, VBA, Power BI, and Nielsen is an asset
