WHAT YOU WILL DO
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance team which conducts various quality improvement activities, administers the special service tools and equipment programs, and provides escalated technical assistance when required.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Conduct quality assurance activities including field quality investigations, new model evaluations, cold-weather tests, and plant quality audits
• Aggregate quality input data from multiple sources (GWMS, HyTAC, CR, etc.), analyze field quality issues, and escalate to stakeholders
• Coordinate incident vehicle go-and-see and field testing with HMC, NAQC and suppliers
• Facilitate the warranty parts return program, conduct root cause analyses, and submit findings to stakeholders in high-quality QIRs
• Coordinate campaigns, recalls, and other field service actions
• Manage the CBTC (Ches Balduini Technical Centre) and ensure efficient operation while meeting all quality standards
• Validate proposed countermeasures and publish Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)
• Maintain HYSIS service information website to ensure continuous operation for dealer network
• Ensure dealership service readiness during new vehicle model launches by managing distribution of new essential tools and equipment, updating existing equipment (GDS, battery tester) to be compatible with the new model
• Maintain and update the list of essential Special Service Tools and New Dealer Kit equipment
• Service as main contact for HMC Automotive Safety Execution, GSSC (Global Service Support Center), and NAQC (North America Quality Center) at HACC
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and HACC with regards to special service tools and dealer equipment program
• Support marketing and PR events with vehicle quality inspections and on-site technical support
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
• 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in a technical fiel
• Excellent Automotive Technical skills
• Knowledge of automotive specialty tools i.e. scan tools, battery testers
• Knowledge of HMG products and diagnostic methods
• Experience with quality analysis processes
• Able to motivate a small team and ensure accountability for key deliverables
