Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead maintenance operations and asset reliability for one of our manufacturing clients in Calgary, AB. This role provides leadership and strategic direction to the maintenance team, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations aligned with national or enterprise maintenance programs.

This position requires a strong technical leader with a data‑driven mindset, capable of driving reliability excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance within a highly regulated environment.

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Shift: 8-hour shift | Monday to Friday

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team in alignment with national or enterprise maintenance programs to ensure efficient day-to-day plant operations

  • Ensure equipment reliability and asset performance through the identification, assessment, and mitigation of asset reliability risks

  • Lead and direct Equipment Criticality Assessments, Critical Spares Analyses, and Failure Root Cause Analyses

  • Drive fact-based and data-driven decision-making using reliability and maintenance methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Autonomous Maintenance, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA, RAMS, and life-cycle asset management

  • Provide subject matter expertise for new equipment selection, ensuring maintainability and long-term reliability

  • Act as a key contributor during capital equipment selection, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), commissioning, and reliability performance evaluation

  • Champion asset standardization and support the development and execution of the annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) program

  • Develop and implement standardized corrective action and asset care processes

  • Lead the effective use, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring a safe working environment for employees and contractors

  • Enhance predictive and condition-based maintenance programs through technical leadership and best practices

  • Improve MRO inventory control through cycle counting and the identification of critical spare parts

  • Establish, monitor, and report on maintenance and reliability KPIs, including PM/CM ratio, MTBF, MTTR, and other performance metrics

  • Foster a collaborative team environment that supports plant operational objectives, continuous improvement, and asset reliability

  • Integrate continuous improvement feedback into maintenance planning and execution strategies

  • Utilize life-cycle cost analysis to support rebuild versus replacement decisions

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, GMP, and all applicable regulatory and documentation requirements

  • Actively monitor critical maintenance events and determine when escalation or external support is required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering degree or Engineering Technologist diploma (mechanical, industrial, or electrical)

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation considered an asset

  • Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) and/or Certified Asset Management Professional (PEMAC) designation considered an asset

  • Mechanical Millwright (433A) or Industrial Electrician (442A) trade experience preferred

  • Minimum of five years of progressive maintenance management experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

  • Strong project management capability with a structured, analytical approach

  • Working knowledge of ammonia plant operations

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and lead large technical teams

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
