Adecco is currently hiring a full-time reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our client’s manufacturing team in Scarborough, OLN. In this role, you will operate and monitor production equipment to ensure the consistent manufacturing of high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires you to be safety-focused, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and capable of maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a dynamic workplace.

  • Pay Rate: $19.77 (+ 0.80 - 1.15 premium) based on shift

  • Location: Scarborough, ON

  • Shifts: Afternoons: 3:00pm – 11:00pm | Midnights 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (starting Sunday at 11:00 PM)

  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time | Temporary to permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Operate and monitor one or more semi-automatic or automatic processing units

  • Set up and adjust packaging and processing equipment as required

  • Monitor gauges, signals, scales, and product consistency (e.g., colour, viscosity)

  • Perform basic chemical or physical testing during production processes

  • Record data accurately on batch cards and follow quality control (QC) procedures

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance of equipment

  • Use scanning devices to complete accurate inventory transactions

  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and timelines

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent

  • Strong basic math skills (including volumetric and mass calculations)

  • Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS and spill clean-up procedures

  • Experience working with hazardous, flammable, or chemical materials (asset)

  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Prior forklift experience is an asset

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, or night shifts as required

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
