Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee and drive electrical engineering projects from concept to completion for our client in Mississauga, ON. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. In this role you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers.

*This position requires CGP (Controlled Goods Program) clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain this clearance as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical circuit design, analysis and verification activities, preferably using model based design approach (MBD) as a lead or part of a hardware development team

  • Perform trade studies in concept selection, product architecture design and analysis; electronics circuit (mixed signal and/or power supply) design and analysis

  • Develop low level requirement documents and manage requirement changes using DOORS

  • Conduct technical presentations and participate in design reviews.

  • Collaborate with other functional groups as necessary to advance the product design

  • Provide support to manufacturing, investigate failures and identify root causes and permanent corrective action by working with internal and external customers.

  • Provide support to task planning, preparation of schedules and estimates, metric collection and project statusing.

  • Must be proactive and be able to work with limited direction, well organized, possess good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks through proper prioritization and schedule management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferred or eligibility to obtain it.

  • Experience in electrical engineering, with leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, control systems, and automation.

  • Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or similar).

  • Experience with industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound engineering decisions.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and projects.

  • Experience or strong knowledge in brushless and/or brushed DC motor drive design or similar design experience is required

  • Previous experience in Model Based Engineering / Model Based Design and/or use of Matlab/Simulink or similar tools will be an asset

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
