Junior Law Clerk job opening in Toronto, ON

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Law Clerk to join our legal team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is ideal for someone early in their legal career who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to a high-performing practice. You will support day-to-day legal operations, client communication, document preparation, and file management. This position blends administrative work with substantive legal support, requiring professionalism, organization, and consistency. What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:

  • Provide welcoming, professional communication to clients by phone, email, and in person

  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and track time-sensitive deadlines

  • Maintain well-organized physical and digital client files

  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and court materials

  • Assist with case preparation, disclosure packages, and filing procedures

  • Keep inboxes organized, flag urgent issues, and follow up promptly

  • Record daily time entries accurately and consistently

  • Support overall office operations and contribute to a positive team culture

  • Successful completion of a Law Clerk program

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • A keen eye for detail and strong organizational habits

  • A professional, courteous, and client-focused approach

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role

  • Comfort using technology and legal software (training provided)


Location: Toronto, ON (downtown) – hybrid work arrangement at present
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
Compensation: $45,000 – 60,000; comprehensive benefits package
