About Trail Operations

Teck’s Trail Operations, located in the community of Trail in British Columbia, is one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern, British Columbia, Trail offers outdoor adventure at your fingertips. 

Teck is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team at our Trail Operations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Receives work orders from supervision; prioritizes work on a daily basis utilizing the Maintenance Order System; estimates material costs and labour hours on jobs
  • Performs a wide variety of carpentry light and heavy work
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • InterProvincial Carpenter Red Seal Endorsement (please upload copy of certification with your application)
  • Scaffold experience an asset
  • Preference given to those with related industrial maintenance experience and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
  • Must have professional, diligent approach; be comfortable working independently and with a team; and be able to demonstrate the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, with great attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Pay Range: 50.78/hr

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
