Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Journeyman Electrician on behalf of our client, an industry‑leading food manufacturer located in Calgary, Alberta. In this role you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on facility systems, production machinery, and refrigeration equipment. This role also supports projects aimed at improving plant safety, production efficiency, and environmental performance.

  • Location: Calgary, AB (SE)

  • Shift: Monday to Friday | rotational shifts

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to quickly trouble shoot, diagnose and repair problems as they occur on any plant production equipment or any of the facilities and grounds equipment.

  • Systematically diagnoses faults in electrical and electronic systems and equipment and repairs or replaces electrical and electronic components as required.

  • Plans installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications and installs all electrical and electronic devices according to the electrical code.

  • Work in and promote a safe working environment and work in strict compliance with all Health and Safety, HACCP, company policies, process SOPs, wear required PPE and follow all relevant GMPs.

  • Promote good communication and collaboration, both within the maintenance team and other stakeholders.

  • Responsible to follow all preventive maintenance processes and procedures and schedules.

  • Accurate reporting of all outstanding and completed work, including parts and tools used.

  • Work on other projects and duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Provincial Journeyman Electrician Certificate with Red Seal endorsement

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a licensed Electrician

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics

  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills, including working knowledge of:

    • PLCs

    • Equipment automation

    • Instrumentation systems

  • Previous industrial plant maintenance experience considered a strong asset

  • Strong communication skills, reliability, initiative, and excellent attendance record

  • Highly organized, with proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekend overtime as required

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
