Job Description
The IT Event Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, implementation, and maintenance of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems across all organizational properties, with a focus on live event operations. This role ensures seamless technology performance during events by supporting end users, resolving incidents, and maintaining system reliability in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, and in-person requests.
- Deliver on-site technical support during live events.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and POS-related issues; escalate when required.
- Implement and maintain POS systems including Oracle Micros, Silverware, QSR, Clover, Amazon, RFID, Toshiba, Mishi Pay, and TapIn2.
- Coordinate with payment vendors such as Eigen, Chase, Moneris, and Clover.
- Monitor and manage incidents according to SLAs.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to the ITSM knowledge base.
- Support asset management processes.
- Assist with setup and troubleshooting of Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of IT support experience.
- Post-secondary education in IT or related field is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with POS systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, iOS, and Android.
- Basic networking knowledge (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Familiarity with Cisco products is an asset.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
