Adecco is currently hiring a full-time licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) to support maintenance operations in a dynamic, fast-paced distribution environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and system performance through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated material handling systems. This role requires you to be hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and continuous improvement.

  • Pay Rate: $40.00/hour

  • Location: Bolton, ON

  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | on 3 days‑3 days‑4 days (Sunday–Tuesday and Wednesday–Friday, with every third week including Saturday

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on all distribution center equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize downtime

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities in Maximo CMMS

  • Complete repairs independently, ensuring work is finished efficiently and to high standards

  • Provide updates and technical insight to the Maintenance Supervisor

  • Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and reliability enhancements

  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance quality standards

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S practices

  • Train and mentor apprentices and junior team members

  • Perform fabrication and welding tasks as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright License (Ontario 433A)

  • Strong experience with equipment troubleshooting and repairs

  • Hands-on knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics systems

  • Experience maintaining material handling systems (conveyors, sorters, AGVs, etc.)

  • Ability to perform fabrication and welding in all positions

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Machine shop and rigging experience

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Certificate of Apprenticeship (Ontario or equivalent)

  • Experience with automated conveyor systems, Beumer sorters, tire gantry systems, and dock door systems

  • Familiarity with Maximo CMMS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or AutoCAD

  • Proven ability to mentor and train apprentices

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting ability

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on equipment reliability and uptime

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
