We want to hear from you!In this role, you will design and maintain industrial hygiene programs working closely with front-line leaders, managers and other stakeholders at our Base Plant mine, leveraging relationships to achieve desired results.
Minimum Requirements:
- Six years of experience as an industrial hygienist
- A Bachelors’ degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Physiology, Human Factors, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering.
- Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation preferred
- Supports the writing and reviewing of technical procedures and standards within area of expertise
- Provides specialty technical input for hazard assessments, incident investigations, self-assessments and audits
- Possesses strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements related to specialization
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain industrial hygiene programs, procedures, and standards.
- Audit the field effectiveness of industrial hygiene programs, procedures and standards and close identified gaps.
- Develop and execute an annual qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment plan, to evaluate health hazards.
- Perform field inspections, hazard identification, and site visits to various areas.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, controls, and actions to the business on industrial hygiene subject matter.
Location & other key details
- You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
