DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team in Surrey (B.C.)

We offer a 5000$ sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

In order to succeed in this role-you will need:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Commercial or Truck and Transport Journeyman certification is mandatory for this position
  • CVIP license is mandatory
  • Locally valid driving permit (Required)
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
  • Experience with full chassis repairs: Brake Systems, A/C Diagnostics, Chassis Electrical, Transmission Repairs.

About the role

  • Working hours are 6:30am to 5pm Tuesday-Friday (4X10 schedule) with a possibility of working afternoon shift 4pm-12am (8X5 schedule)
  • Union environment.
  • Salary is $51.13 hourly.
  • Work is mostly on transport trucks and transit buses.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
