Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Manager, FP&A to join our Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Director, FP&A – Merchandise and Marketing, you will partner with the LBM Merchandising team to support with supplier negotiations and analytics, forecasting and planning, and driving strategic projects and initiatives to improve reporting and analytics.
 
We are looking for a collaborative finance leader that is energized by building new processes and reporting methodologies, values team collaboration and driving team success. What you’ll do:
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the business, operations, and processes, as well as contribute to the implementation of business plans.
  • Act as a Finance partner to provide functional support to the Leadership Team and management; work closely with them to prioritize deliverables and ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.
  • Act as a key business partner to the operational business areas, providing financial information, analytics, and recommendations to facilitate decision-making and target-setting.
  • Lead the development and implementation of improved management and business reporting to facilitate the understanding of business results and enable financial management reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance models, highlighting trends and performing variance analysis.
  • Provide guidance, change management and training to business support areas, while navigating a transformation of systems, processes, and reporting, as well as implement new tools and processes.
  • Lead annual financial planning process for functional support areas by working collaboratively with business leaders on the development of budgeting tools and variance analytics.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Finance team and related stakeholders in providing advice and business insights to grow the business while understanding the opportunities and risks.
  • Provide strong leadership, ongoing coaching, development support for direct reports.
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, with a CPA designation (preferred); with 5 to 10 years’ experience in data analytics, management reporting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to establish credibility cross-functionally in order to influence decision making and positively impact business performance.
  • Experience in interacting and consulting with senior leadership and supporting with executive level presentations and board reports.
  • Strong data analytics skills with a proven ability to synthesize large volumes of data from multiple sources, and autonomously build compelling business cases.
  • Data-driven with the ability to develop and implement business management tools, analyze and review numbers and trends, and recommend solutions to support senior leader decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills. Solid confidence to lead by example, demonstrating high personal energy.
  • Consumer insights and analytics exposure. Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Highly developed business and financial acumen to drive business performance, embracing change and innovation.
  • Motivated individual with excellent organizational, interpersonal, consultative, and negotiating skills; with the ability to lead and coach a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, multi-task several priorities and ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work additional or varied hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
