What we offer
In keeping with the Mattamy mission of providing The Best Homeowner Experience, the Financial Analyst, Finance will be a key business partner in the division working with land, construction and customer service. The ideal candidate must be able to process a large volume of transactions accurately and quickly as well as provide exceptional customer service to our suppliers, vendors, and internal departments. In addition, Mattamy Homes is proud to be a designated CPA Employer with eligibility to participate in our Mattamy Homes CPA Program, which provides cost and time support towards the attainment of the CPA designation.
What you’ll do
- Process and reconcile all tax bills in a timely and accurate manner.
- Match, verify coding and enter into JD Edwards system.
- Business partnering with land/construction to process chargebacks.
- Ensure accurate and efficient data input adhering to established processes.
- Follow up with stakeholders including the township and municipalities on overdue tax bills.
- Handle and resolve inquiries related to tax bills, escalating as necessary.
- Correspond with internal and external stakeholders to promptly resolve problems and discrepancies.
- Accurately file all processed bills and documentation.
- Provide support with other administrative functions as required.
- Prepare and distribute training materials to customer care and AP on property tax refund requests.
- Acts as liaison between finance, customer care, AP, and land team, providing follow-ups and advising on property tax outcomes and refund requests.
- Special projects and additional responsibilities as required.
What you bring
- Post-secondary education related to accounting or relevant work experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in understanding/resolving problems.
- Must be detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy in inputting and checking data.
- Good computer skills with experience in MS Office, especially Word and Excel and any accounting packages.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining well organized.
